Resume Building Workshop
On September 11th, the McClinton Scholars got the opportunity to sit down with Tina Allen, an academic coordinator, to learn the ins and outs of building a fully functional resume. This experience taught the scholars many topics such as when to use a curriculum vitae or resume and how to improve their wording on the resume. She, also, explained the process your resume goes through to give the students a better understanding of what buzz words to utilize and what items the sorting systems use to pass your resume onto the next level.
Scholar, Kaleb Befekadu, highlighted that although he has been through many resume workshops prior to this event, none of them taught him how to utilize AI to create a more effective resume. He, also, mentioned this take on resume building will provide him with the competitive edge he has been missing and help him to build a strong foundation to propel him into success.
All in all, we thank Ms.Tina Allen for joining us and offering her wonderful insight to the scholars. If we do say so ourselves, she has accomplished her goal of positively impacting the lives of students by providing them with the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
